Case Study

Client/Industry: iMove, Inc.

Project/Experience:
iMove is the leading developer of immersive visual solutions for mission-critical security and surveillance applications.

Description:
Immersive imaging has quickly become a key component in security operations requiring timely, accurate, and actionable decisions. Working closely with iMove engineers and a tight delivery schedule, Sherpa Design developed a weatherized enclosure to house their cameras, fans, and electronics and allow mounting both on post and vehicle.

We developed a weatherproof custom rubber grommet to allow ingress of I/O cables and using our in-house rapid prototyping capabilities, delivered the functional rubber grommets using rapid tooling we built/poured.

Once the detailed design was complete, Sherpa Design delivered the first 10 complete machined assemblys for field trial and customer evaluation. Environmental constraints were a major concern, so a second finned heat-sink design was constructed for field evaluation.
